February 23, 2012 was the 67th Anniversary of the historic Flag Raising on Iwo Jima. A ceremony and display of WWII military memorabilia was held at the Iwo Jima Memorial Monument and Park in Newington/New Britain, CT. Mark Adamski, Mark Krob and Ed Tracy from Fleet Marine Force displayed WWII and Iwo Jima battle memorabilia and were dressed in uniforms from the Pacific Battle era. I would like to honor my Marine grandfather who fought there in WWII. Although he died in 1985, I would like to post a photo of him if someone on this site shows me how.
